Yoga has been threading its way through my life since I was 20 years old. Around the same time, began the other sacred thread, Tibetan Buddhism. These central themes suspiciously danced around each other for years, until my Teachers, Geshe Michael Roach and Lama Christie McNally formally re-united the Yoga Lineages of India and Tibet in the Tibetan Heart Yoga System. The third central braid in this dance is my family. The ancient teachings of yoga guide us to wholeness, love and freedom. Family life is where the ‘rubber meets the road.’ Ideologies are easy to adopt, they are more difficult to embody. This sacred trio of the Buddha Dharma, Yoga and Loved Ones are patiently coaxing me towards Happiness.

| My primary influence in the world of Yoga is Richard Freeman. To me, he is the embodiment of the path of hatha yoga to raja yoga- using the energies of the body to transform the mind. My holy Lamas, Geshe Michael Roach, Christie McNally, Winston, and Sumati Marut continue with immaculate patience, love and wisdom, to guide me onward.
I am certified in Tibetan Heart Yoga Series 1 through 8, as well as in all the Yoga Studies Institute Classics courses: Yoga Sutra, Hatha Yoga Pradipika and the Bhagavad Gita. I completed a 200 hour Teacher Intensive with Richard Freeman in 2008 and some advanced intensives since then. My classes are Tibetan Heart Yoga inspired, active Vinyasa with primary focus given to breath and radical transformation of the heart.
